Music connects

Prism Strings ensemble is a string trio which consists of violin, viola and cello. We sometimes perform as a traditional string quartet with two violins, viola and cello. We perform throughout Metro Detroit and Southeast Michigan and provide elegant entertainment for a variety of events.

ABOUT PRISM STRINGS

Prism strings are three professional musicians and string educators who became friends and began performing around Metro Detroit.  We are all classically trained musicians, having all attended the University of Michigan for our advanced degrees in music.  Music connects, and we were fortunate for our paths to cross in adulthood.

We love to find the hidden gems in downtown Detroit and have had the pleasure to perform in some of the best acoustical venues: Olde St. Mary’s in Greektown, Detroit Athletic Club, and the Detroit Institute of Arts just to name a few.

Together, we have over five decades of performance experience.  Collectively we have performed with Birmingham-Bloomfield Symphony, Flint Symphony, West Shore Symphony, Grosse Pointe Symphony, Adrian Symphony, in the chamber ensemble featured with the Madrigal Chorale, Canterbury Village, Cherry Creek Golf Course, Pine Knob Mansion, Detroit Athletic Club, Olde St. Mary's, Monroe Historical Society, IHM Motherhouse in Monroe, Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian church in Livonia, Ward Church in Northville, and churches throughout Metro Detroit.
